UAAP Women's Volleyball Season 75 soon... :)
After a thrilling fight for the crown for the event of UAAP Men's Basketball,the Ateneo Blue Eagles successfully grabbed again the championship as they have it for 5 consecutive seasons. Kiefer Ravena, the MVP for the finals game together with other players, Salva, Thompson, Chua, and laughter battled it out with the other players of UST growling tigers.
After the basketball event, now is the time for the volleyball fans to shout, cheer and support for their favorite volleyball team of the universities who are members of the UAAP..
It's again a match between the following universites: DLSU, ADMU, UST, FEU, NU, AdU,UP, and UE. will the DLSU Lady Archers defend and have the crown again or will it be the ADMU Lady Eagles soaring up high to the top and snatching the crown to the defending champions. they are the Final two last season. But don't forget about the other teams.. they are also competent and really good players.
The opening of this event is on November 24, 2012 at the Mall of Asia Arena. But this schedule is tentaive for now.Let's just wait for further announcements.
Now ! let's preapre our body and soul for cheering up your teams !!!

ATENEO ! ONE BIG FIGHT !
i am an avid supporter and fan of UAAP Women's Volleyball ever since i learned how to play volleyball. But, which side are you in? Which team do you support? who are your idols?
Well, in that question, i'm a long time supporter of ADMU Lady Eagles :) they are the girls to watch out the most. they don't only possess skills but also beauty and brains. All of them are considered as the "Goddess" of Philippine Volleyball in my opinion :)) but each of those girls possess different characteristics which make them unique and different from each other.
But i really watch carefully and cheer their libero who is Michelle Denise Lazaro. she's just like an angel outside the court. she's a brainiac, school nerd, and simple woman, but when it comes to playing inside the court, she completely evolves into some kind of Goddess. She's always around the court for coverages, she dives and digs, just to save the ball, sacrifices her angelic and silk like skin just for the rallies, and most thing i admire is she's always smiling smiling and smiling all the time even if they are down.
it just simply makes us realize that many of us have secrets of their own that could really change a person. and sports, hobbies, and recreation create or show the other side of us. like in volleyball, it emphasizes and exposes our other side that we didn't expect to see from others and also to ourselves :)

Another day of volleyball
i just want to share to all of you how it feels everyday i stepped inside the court. it feels like destiny is always making way for me to play and that completes my day, my week, my month, my year, my decade, and my whole life...hehe :)
today, i went to my Alma Mater and its last day of Intramurals. i am so delighted when my coach before asked me to play against the present varsities. yehey ^^. haha !
when i stepped in the court, it feels like that there is a hole that sucking our feet so that i will not go anywhere.
lastly, what happened is my ex-girlfriend shouted my name and it boosted me up :) it feels like cloud nine :)
in other words, for me, volleyball is my life. many events happened and its all because of volleyball. it makes me happy and contented with my life.

UAAP Women's Volleyball
UAAP is one of the most awaited and mos thrilling event that not only young generations wait but also people who are young at heart. Here 8 famous schools battled it out to win this event. The schools are UP, UST, FEU, ADMU, NU, UE, AdU, DLSU. One of the sports that this association organizes is the VOLLEYBALL.
These event is very popular, not only supported by the students from their schools but also people who are just supporters because of the talent that every student possess.
But for me, I'm a solid supporter of ADMU. The girls of ADMU is just the perfect example of an athlete. One of my idols is Fille St. Merced Cainglet. She is a type of girl who you will nit think to be a sporty girl. But when she's inside the court, she's just a firecracker that starts to crackle every time she digs the ball, and most thrilling is when she goes for a spike. another player that I idolize is Angeline Marie Gervacio. She has an arm whose got a power to spike the ball as fast as a bullet. Lastly, my true idol is Michelle Denise Lazaro. She's a great and an outstanding libero. She's is always there in the court, digging, diving and dying just to save the ball.
So there you have it. Who's volleyball player do you idolize. Do you like my taste or do you have other idols than mine?

Volleyball Basics
There are three basic volleyball moves. First is the 'DIG', next is the 'SET', and lastly, the 'SPIKE'. These are the basic moves used in playing this sport. Now let's talk about playing this so-called volleyball.
Dig is the term that simply implies "receiving". This move is used on receiving the ball and making the ball controlled.
The next step is the setting of the ball. This technique is used for setting up a play or making a step for killing the ball. this is the most critical move because the setter needs to be more aggressive and and he is the brain of the game.
Last basic technique is the spiking. Spiking refers to the offense of the team.
There two additional moves in volleyball.
Serving is one of them. it is the move that refers to making the ball into play.
Next is the blocking. this refers to a defensive style of simply not letting the ball go to the premises of your court. This move is a very crucial thing and need timing.
